High Atlas Mountains Imlil with Camel Riding & Dinner in Agafay Desert

1 Day

High Atlas Mountains, Imlil, with Camel Riding & Dinner in Agafay Desert

Departure from Marrakech in the morning to visit Imlil, a prized spot in Morocco. It is one of the most original places.

Imlil is small and beautiful. It was a key site for National Geographic’s photographers and nature lovers. People know the Berber village for its stunning beauty and vast, unspoiled landscapes. The mountains at the entrance to the great Moroccan Atlas will impress visitors. This trip takes us into the Atlas Mountains. We will see a mix of plants, colorful cliffs, mountain streams, Berber villages, and locals. The souks of Tahanaout and Asni (Tuesdays and Saturdays) are great for photos. Their rural markets are busy. They are traditional and vibrant. In Imlil, you will do a short hike of 1h30 and admire the beautiful landscapes and the Berber villages.

So, after a delicious meal in a local Amazigh house, we continued our journey to Agafay’s rocky desert. We took the atlas roads, enjoying the views as nature changed from green trees to a desert landscape. Upon arrival at Agafay, camels and a guide will be waiting. They will take you on an adventure to see the sunset’s magical scenery. A nice Badouine tent with a view of the amazing Agafay Desert. It has delicious food and an entertainment show.
